If you have never heard of injection molding acetate frames, then you must be very confused what is the difference between injection and handmade frames. Let's take a look as following~!
( PS: If you don't have much time, go straight to the bottom and see the comparison chart )
- What are injected moulding acetate frames?
- What's the advantage and of the injected acetate frames?
- What's the disadvantage of the injected acetate frames?
- How do distinguish the injected acetate frames from hand-made acetate frames?

1)What are injected moulding acetate frames?
The injected acetate frames are made by the moulding, similar to production steps with the PC or TR90 frames.
But, right now we using acetate material instead of PC or TR90 material.
We injected the acetate material into the moulding to produce the frames.
The traditional hand-made acetate frames are produced by the CNC machine, and much more steps by handwork.

2)What's the advantage and of the injected acetate frames?
----------Our lowest price for injected acetate frames are only USD2.50~
But, the traditional hand-made acetate, the price normally upper than USD3.50
----------the frames could be polished as same as normal hand made acetate frames.

3)What's the disadvantage of the injected acetate frames?
a. Must be opening the injection mould for the front rim. Rising the high cost if the quantity of the rim is small.
b. Right now, only could producing a single color. (other complicated colors are under development, maybe in the near future, some pattern colors could be injection on the frames directly)

4)How to distinguish the injected acetate frames from hand-made acetate frames?
There is a joint line between the pads and rim on the handmade acetate frames.
However, the colors are the same on the injection acetate rim. Because it was made by the injected mould directly.
Hope the following pictures could show clearly.
